Research

The Erich Kästner Museum Dresden actively seeks to cooperate with institutes involved in researching life and works of Erich Kästner, including the Technical University of Dresden and the German Literature Archive in Marbach. The results of the academic work will be published in the Erich Kaestner Museum, as will be the results of our own research (e.g. research application to the Federal Authority for the Documents of the State Security Service (Stasi) of the former GDR and on the influence of the Ministry for Security on Erich Kästner's visit to Dresden in 1967). The Erich Kästner Museum Dresden shall also function as a "Research centre" für academics and interested lay persons, providing, as it does, ideal working conditions, with its comprehensive stock of works by and about Kästner.
